Dr Eichel works as a Senior Anaesthetist at St George hospital and in established private practice. She is Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW Sydney and is involved with the St George and Sutherland Clinical School, UNSW.

In addition to a broad subspecialty base in the public sector she has particular expertise in vascular, major abdominal, plastic and reconstructive, ophthalmic and paediatric anaesthesia.

Dr Eichel is actively involved in Quality Improvement processes. She has produced several local guidelines to maintain standards in preoperative care which ensures the safest anaesthetic outcomes.

She is an avid teacher and mentor for trainee anaesthetists focusing on meticulous attention to patients, safety and simplicity in all procedures and engagement with surgeons and nursing staff to create an optimal treating team.

She is very approachable to discuss treatment options, advice or concerns.

Dr Eichel graduated from University of New South Wales in 1999. She holds a fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
